Nestled at the base of the Southern Alps, Edgewater is known for its relaxed atmosphere. Each season provides a unique experience, which lets you tailor your perfect wedding.

With its stunning scenery and private, relaxed atmosphere, Edgewater is the perfect choice for that personal, intimate wedding. Make use of our rolling lawns leading to the lake edge - ideal for a garden wedding. Should you need an alternative, our Pavilion can welcome large numbers of guests. 

Our staff will ensure your day is special and hassle-free with every minor detail taken care of. 

We are able to provide introductions to marriage celebrants, photographers, wedding florists, hairdressers and make-up artists, just let us know your requirements.

lakeside celebration

Your marriage ceremony will take place in our well tended park-like grounds on the shores of Lake Wanaka. After your guests have shared your special ceremony enjoy seasonally selected hors d'oeuvres served on the lakeside patio and lawn area. The cocktail lounge is your alternative venue if it is required.

wedding reception

We are able to cater for 80 guests in size for buffet style or table d'hote in our Pavilion.  For larger parties of up to 120, we are able to extend our Pavilion with two marquees for extra table space or space for the band or dance floor.  Our Events Coordinator and Wedding Supervisior take care of everything for you on your special day, so you don't have to worry about a thing. From table cloths to centerpieces - the team at Edgewater do it all for you.

Our experienced chef and his team provides catering options to suit which can be tailored to meet specific requirements, or should you wish, you are welcome to write your own menu.

We have an extensive range of regional Central Otago and imported wines, beers and spirits.

entertainment

If you would prefer us to organise wedding reception entertainment for you, we can suggest a wide range of musicians and DJs.

floral arrangement

We are happy to co-ordinate with you or your selected wedding florist on any arrangements you may require.

guest accommodation

We extend a special wedding guest accommodation rate to all our wedding parties. If you choose Edgewater Lake Wanaka as your wedding venue, we would be delighted to offer a deluxe suite for the bride and groom on your wedding night as our gift, including breakfast the next day. Special conditions apply.
