EDGEWATER RESORT - WEDDING VENUE

Fall in love with our unique lakeside location and mountain views at Edgewater Resort , Lake Wanaka, New Zealand. 

Nestled within the spectacular Southern Alps, Edgewater Resort is located on the shores of Lake Wanaka and is known for its relaxed atmosphere.  You and your wedding party can indulge and unwind.

A perfect choice for that personal, intimate wedding, with rolling lawns leading to the lake edge -  ideal for a garden wedding or for an alternative and larger numbers the Pavilion is recommended.  Our staff will ensure your day is special and hassle-free with every minor detail taken care of. 

Stunning photograph opportunities abound - lake, garden, pond or utilise our on-site heli-pad and be whisked away to the mountain tops.  We are able to provide introductions to celebrants, photographers, florists, hairdressers and make-up artists. 

Lakeside Celebration

Your marriage ceremony takes place in the sprawling park-like grounds of the Resort.  After your guests have shared your special day enjoy hors d'oeuvres served on the lakeside patio and lawn area.  The cocktail lounge is your alternative venue should the weather dictate.

Wedding Reception

One of the favoured choices is to have pre-breakfast drinks on our outside terrace, then flow through to the wedding reception room for dinner. 

Ideally we can cater for wedding parties up to 80 in size for buffet style or Table d'hote.   For larger numbers we can offer the alternative of our Pavilion.

Catering

Our buffet menus are known for quality and can be tailored to meet specific requirements.  A menu selection is available in our wedding pack and can be altered to suit individual requirements, or write your own menu.

Beverages

We have an extensive range of Central Otago, New Zealand and imported wines, beers and spirits.

Entertainment

If you prefer us to organise entertainment for you, we can access a wide range of musicians.

Floral Arrangement

We are happy to co-ordinate with you or the florist on any arrangements for the tables if you wish to provide these.

Accommodation

We are pleased to extend a special wedding guest accommodation rate and if you choose Edgewater as your wedding venue, we would be delighted to offer the bride and groom accommodation on your wedding night in a deluxe suite as our gift, including breakfast the next day.  Special conditions apply.
